About This Winery

Pulenta Estate is on Ruta Provincial 86, km 6.8, in Alto Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo. Eduardo and Hugo Pulenta founded it in 2002. Their father, Antonio Pulenta, was one of the most recognized vinegrowers in Mendoza, so they came into this with a family name and three generations of experience.

They keep production intentionally small. The estate vineyards in Alto Agrelo sit at around 1,050 meters above sea level. The flagship wine is Pulenta Estate Gran Malbec, and their Cabernet Franc has been getting attention in recent years. The Pulenta Estate line overall is consistent and well made.

The winery is modern and clean in design. Visits include the vineyard and cellar, plus a tasting. The location in Alto Agrelo is quieter and slightly higher in elevation than the main Agrelo cluster.
