Finca Decero is at Bajo las Cumbres s/n, Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo. The name means “from scratch,” and that’s how it started. The land was bare when they began planting, so every vine was chosen and placed intentionally. No inherited vineyards, no old plots to work around.
All their wines come from the Remolinos Vineyard, a single estate in Agrelo. They work with Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Tannat. The single-vineyard approach means each bottle reflects that specific piece of land. Their Malbec Remolinos Vineyard is probably the most recognized wine in the lineup.
The operation is sustainable. Each vine is tended by hand, and they keep yields low to concentrate flavor. It’s a mid-sized winery that feels personal without being tiny.
Visits cover the vineyard and winery, followed by a tasting. The setting is quiet and the views toward the Andes are good. Agrelo is about 25 minutes south of Mendoza city. We include Finca Decero in our Luján de Cuyo wine tours.
