O. Fournier is on Los Indios s/n, in Eugenio Bustos, San Carlos, Uco Valley. The winery was built with modern technology in mind. It has a capacity of 1.2 million litres across stainless steel, oak and cement vats, and the whole operation works by gravity to minimize pumping.
The underground cellar holds up to 2,800 oak barrels at constant temperature and humidity. It’s one of the more impressive cellar setups in the Uco Valley, and seeing it during the tour puts the scale of the investment into perspective.
Their wines come from high-altitude vineyards in San Carlos. The Alfa Crux is their premium blend, and the B Crux is the more accessible line. They also produce a Tempranillo, a nod to the Spanish origins of the founding family.
Eugenio Bustos is in the southern part of the Uco Valley, about two hours from Mendoza city. We include O. Fournier in our Uco Valley wine tours.
