Domaine Bousquet is on Ruta 89, km 7, in Tupungato, Uco Valley. The winery was founded by a French family who brought Bordeaux winemaking know-how to one of the highest vineyard areas in Mendoza. Everything they produce is certified organic.
The terroir in Tupungato gives them a natural advantage for organic farming: dry climate, low humidity, and big temperature swings that reduce pest pressure. They work with Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and some less common varieties.
Their wines are well distributed internationally, and the organic certification is a genuine commitment, not a marketing label. Prices are reasonable for the quality. The Reserve Malbec is probably their best-known bottle.
The winery is in Tupungato, about 90 minutes south of Mendoza city. We include Domaine Bousquet in our Uco Valley wine tours.
