La Azul is on RP 89, Tupungato, in the Uco Valley. It’s a small boutique winery that keeps production intentionally limited. The grapes that make it into their bottles have to meet a strict quality bar, and the rest gets sold off.
That selective approach means you won’t find La Azul in many places, but what they produce is focused and well crafted. The wines are mostly Malbec from high-altitude Tupungato vineyards, with the kind of concentration and acidity that comes from cool nights and strong sun.
Visits here are personal. You’re not in a crowd, and the staff can spend time with you. If you want the opposite of a large-scale winery tour, La Azul fits.
